ABSTRACT

This is an analytical study about the life and contributions of famous Islamic scholar C.M Abdulla Moulawi, who lived in North Malabar. He is famous for his brilliant works in literal and educational field. He played a prominent role in the progressive fields of North Malabar people. By his surprising dexterities, he flourished the educational, cultural, and social status North Malabar. His perspectives about the educational and communal enhancements paved the way to a great movement called combined educational system. Although he was engrossed in social services, he managed the responsibilities of several mahalls (region) as the Qāzi. His ability in literal fields are praiseworthy and many of his works are renowned in Fiqh, ilm al mīqāth, Islamic economic system, linguistic, mappila literature, translations, other faculties of Islamic religion and materialistic education. Among his, plenty of works those are about Islamic astronomy, i.e., ilm-al mīqath, and the determining qibla are being regarded as the masterworks of him. Nowdays, these works are considered as the guidelines for further studies in these fields.

ملخص البحث

وهذه دراسة تحليلية تهدف ابراز الحقائق عن حياة و خدماته في مختلف احواله الحياتية والدينية. وكان الأستاذ الاستاذ سي ام عبد الله المولوي الذي عاش في جنوب مليبار من ابرز اعيان القرن الواحد والعشرين عالما و فقيها ومجددا نظام العلوم الدينية والدنيوية حيث ان مساهماته وانجاباته الزاهرة خير شاهد لجودته ومهارته في المجالات العلمية والعملية .وقد اشتهرت خدماته الغالية في مجال العلوم الديني والدنيوي كالفقه وعلم الميقات لتعيين اوقات الصلاة ونحوه واللغة والترجمة وغيرها حتىى بلغت عددها الى خمسة عشرة تقريبا ولكن معظمها في الفقه وعلم الميقات التي كان له يد طويل في هذا الفن. وقد خدم القوم ايضا بقيادته المحمودة بكونه قاضيا لكثير من البلدان حتى قادهم الى طريق الحق والنجاة. قد كثرت مساهماته في مجال التعليمية ايضا حتى اسس مدارسا دينينة في مختلف انحاء البلاد حتى تلقاه الناس بقبول تام. وهو الذي اول من بدا منهجا جديدا في مجال التعليمي الذي يدرس فيه العلوم الدينية والدنيوية معا. وقد بذل حياته لخدمة قومه لوجه الله العظيم. فهذه الدراسة تلقي الضوء على ترجمة الاستاذ سي ام عبد الله المولوي ومؤلفاته الضخمة مع ابراز عصره وحالته الاجتماعية والسياسية والعلمية كما تشمل تاريخ العلم الميقات في العلم خصوصا في كيرالا مع توضيح المدونات المشهورة قديما وحديثا والحركات العلمية والارشادية التي شرعها الاستاذ اثناء حياته الغالية
