The bar chart illustrates the figures of passengers who travelled through John F. Kennedy , the LaGuardia and the Newark airports of the New York city between 1995 and 2000.
Overall , all the three airports have seen a growth in the number of users during the 5 year period.
In the beginning of the 1995 ,the LaGuardia was most popularly used airport with close to 35 million travellers while the JF. Kennedy airport had over 25 million users , the Newark had only 15 million.The LaGuardia still remained the most used airport with 40 million passangers in 1996, But in 1997 JF. Kennedy took over with the top spot by having 47 million passengers.By the next 2 years, the number of travellers using JF .Kennedy airport steadily falls to just over 30million in 1999.While LaGuardia saw a noticeable growth in number of users reaching 50 million the same year.
Over the given period Newark airport has also seen an influx of passengers but their numbers remained well below the others.From the year 1998 to the end of the period the figures of passengers using Newark airport remained stable at 41 million.By 2000, LaGuardia has over 68 million travellers, while JF.Kennedy has only 45 million users.
