US athletes won the title of world champion. Then the championships were held every four years. With the spread of the game, his technique and tactics were also formed. Techniques such as catching, transferring, carrying and throwing the ball came into play. But the technique was lacking in dynamicness - all transmissions and throws were made with both hands in one place. The tactic defined the function of the team members and their distribution to defenders and strikers. Basically, basketball began to spread throughout Europe and South America.

The history of the development of basketball in Azerbaijan, like any other sport, has taken its first steps on the initiative of workers and employees at foreign oil companies who came to work in Baku before 1920. On the other hand, the development of these sports, which seems strange to the local population, has attracted the interest of local people as a factor proving the cultural and spiritual richness of these countries. Basketball, like other sports, has begun to take its first steps in Azerbaijan since the 1920s.
