The Institute on problem of higher and secondary specialised school (IPHSSS) under the Ministry of Higher and secondary specialised education of Republic of Uzbekistan (MHSSE RUz) is a leading republican academic scientific-methodical center of MHSSE RUz. This institute realises scientific researches on actual problems of higher and secondary specialised education and co-ordination of teaching and methodical works, performed by educational institutes of the Republic. IPHSSS was established by Regulation of Cabinet of Ministries of Republic of Uzbekistan, No 302, dated 31 July 1995. The Institute consists of three departments:
Department of normative documents of higher education, dealing with the determination of strategy and development of a scientific normative-methodology based integration of education, science and industry; higher vocational education; improving of qualifications; system of master studies. Teacher qualifications (master) and postgraduate education; comparative analysis of education systems.
Department of social and economic researches, dealing with the development of a scientific base of economy and finance of education, sociological researches, spiritual development and mechanisms of work with gifted youth;
Department of pedagogical and information technologies in education, dealing with researches on implementation of information and pedagogical technologies and problems on improving quality of education and publishing methodical academic literatures. The Institute includes a section of monitoring, academic lyceum, editorial offices of journal "Problems on education", library of methodical literatures.
