The person that has influenced me the most would have to be my brother. One of the reasons he
has influenced me so much is because he was my best friend growing up. My brother was my
constant companion. He was always up for a game of soccer or monopoly. Even when we grew up
and went to college, my brother was still always there looking out for me. He helped me pass my
chemistry class and let me hang out with his friends when I was struggling to make friends of my
own. Additionally, my brother is one of the most caring people I have ever met. He always listens to
my problems, no matter how futile or girly they might seem. He also spends much of his free time
helping others. Whenever his friends need help, he’s always there for them, whether it be taking their
dog for a walk or giving them a ride at three in the morning. He’s currently studying medicine so that
he can make a profession of his love for helping people. To sum up, my brother has influenced me the
most of anyone I have ever met. I hope to be as good as him someday.

Though 20 years seems like a really long time away, I know what I want to have achieved by
then. First, I want to be living in Africa. I recently read a book about a woman who started a hospital
in Africa for poor African women. Though her life seems quite difficult, it also seems very fulfilling.
I am currently studying medicine at my local university and I want to use the skills I’m learning there
to better the lives of many neglected African woman. So, I want to be in Africa in 20 years.
Furthermore, I hope to have a family. More specifically, I want a husband, a daughter, and a dog. My
whole life I have wanted to be a mother and raise a child to be globally aware. My daughter will be
able to help me out in my hospital and see that life isn’t about money and tangible objects. I want a
dog because I absolutely love dogs and couldn’t imagine my life without one. Also, I want a husband
to support my ambitions and give me chocolates on Valentine’s Day. To conclude, in 20 years I see
myself in Africa with my small, but perfect, family.
