Of the many holidays my country has, I believe that Independence Day is my favorite. First of
all, Independence Day always falls during the summer time. This means
that all of my friends are
home from school. My best friends and I unfortunately attend different universities. It’s not very often
that we have time off together during holidays. However, Independence Day is one that we can all
spend together.
To continue, Independence Day is a day filled with many exciting activities! My
family and I always start off the day watching my little brother play with his high school band in the
annual parade. After that, we go down to the beach and have a barbecue with our friends and family.
We
play lots of games, like volleyball and badminton. We end the night
watching the spectacular
fireworks display over the lake. Every year it seems to get better and better!
