2022 progress examples • Red Ready project was piloted in three branches which conducted Integrated Vulnerability
Capacity Assessments to identify any climate and environmental risks and vulnerabilities to
develop their own disaster risk reduction plans.
• National Capital District/Central youth and volunteers actively engaged in climate action, such
as coral red reef restoration and mangrove planting. 5,000 mangrove seedings were planted
and 1,235 people benefitted through awareness raising sessions on climate change and
planting mangroves and coral reef restoration.
• Disaster Response Emergency Fund Operation (DREF) for Civil Unrest was launched in
September for targeting 1,500 affected households.
• Through COVID-19 operation and Community engagement and accountability activities, the
National Society reached close to 60,000 people (PPE equipment distribution, awareness
sessions, community accountability and engagement baseline survey and integrated first aid
training sessions)
