COURSE SYLLABU

Learning Outcomes


1. Distinguish developmental objectives and their elaboration, developmental skills for 4 to 5 Year olds;
2. Explain moral development (Ethics) in preschool and Lawrence Kohlberg`s 6 Stages of moral development in children, cognitive and Language Development (Intellect), development of physical competence;
3. Substantiate the need for the connection of Learning and Teaching and Assessment;
4. Demonstrate research skills in the study of various topics.
Assessment procedures and criteria
This section includes course-grading system and values might slightly change according to the guidelines proposed by the MoE.
Course Grading: Mid-terms – 10 points
Online class participation: 20 points
Projects/Independent work : 10 points
Attendance: 10 points
Final Exam : 50 points

Final Exam
Final exams are similar to midterms except given at the end of the semester. This part closely depends on the current circumstances and might need some adaptation.
Grading System
Students’ exam results shouldn’t be less than 17 points. Students with a total score of less than 50 are graded “2”. The general assessment of students will be conducted as follows:
91-100 – A
81-90 – B
71-80 – C
61-70 – D
51-60 – E
Evaluation Components
10-point- the student deeply understands the material covered, his/her responses are accurate and comprehensive.
9 points - the student fully understands the material covered, his/her answer is accurate and can explain the content of the topic.
8 points - student's response has some general shortcomings about the content
7 points - the student understands the material well, but can’t theoretically substantiate some issues.
6 points - the student's response is mostly correct.
