Relevance and necessity of the topic: The relevance of the dissertation is that it addresses issues that may arise in the process of contrasting of English and Uzbek lexicons and analyzing the process of identifying the similarities and differences in lexicons.

The comparative analysis of professional lexicons in English and Uzbek revealed similarities and differences between professional lexicons in the two languages.
