Relevance and necessity of the topic: The relevance of the dissertation is that it addresses issues that may arise in the process of contrasting of English and Uzbek lexicons and analyzing the process of identifying the similarities and differences in lexicons.
Object of the research: The lexicons of English and Uzbek languages are taken as an object of the dissertation.
Subject of the research: The Professional lexicons of English and Uzbek languages are taken as a subject of the dissertation.
Purpose of the research: The methods of scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, monographic observation, comparison, induction and deduction, static grouping, system analysis, graphical expression were used in the dissertation.
Obtained results and their novalty: at the end of this research, it can be obtained the following novelties:

  • The comparative analysis of professional lexicons in English and Uzbek revealed similarities and differences between professional lexicons in the two languages.

  • For this reason, Vocabulary of popular professions in English and Uzbek languages ​​was summarized and the results of their comparative analysis were given with solutions and recommendations.

Tasks of the research: To determine the role of lexicons in the development of lexicology; To analysis of the appearance of lexicons in Uzbek and English as a subdivision of lexicology; To identify similarities and differences between English and Uzbek lexicons; To make contrastive analysis on the professional lexicons of English and Uzbek languages; Explain the similarities and differences of professional lexicons in English and Uzbek with the help of examples.
Research methods: The methods of scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, monographic observation, comparison, induction and deduction, static grouping, system analysis, graphical expression were used in the dissertation work.
