Abstract: 
The article reviewed the USA-South Korea Free Trade Agreement, analyzed the provisions 
of the trade agreements signed between the USA and the Republic of Korea regarding audiovisual services 
and screen quotas. Also, this article reviews economic development and the regulatory environment of 
audiovisual services in the Republic of Korea.
One of the issues in KORUS FTA is audiovisual services and "screen quota". The Republic of Korea 
has made significant commitments on the audiovisual sector in the Korea-USA Free Trade Agreement. The 
agreement provided a more favorable environment for cross-border trade and investment in Korean 
audiovisual services by minimizing or freezing most quotas for local content.
