Criminal aspects in Truman Capote’s documentary work In “Cold Blood” english

Qualification Significance: The book primarily introduces Herb Clutter, a successful and well-known wheat farmer living in Holcomb, Kansas, to his wife, Bonnie, and their teenage children, Nancy and Kenyon. It was November 14, 1959, and the narrator emphasizes that this day was the last day of their lives and described how they were spending their days. This legend is intertwined with the actions of their killers, Perry Smith and Dick Hickock.
Purpose: To study the sociological and psychological aspects of crime in Truman Capot's most famous science-fiction novel, Cold Blood (1965). The author of the article analyzes the most important topics of the book, such as violence, murder, sacrifice, rescue and punishment, as well as the author’s storytelling techniques, features, style and situation. The article shows how and to what extent Cold Blood is a wonderful mix of literature, journalism and reporting, as well as an in-depth sociological, philosophical and psychological study of crime, the nature of evil and a difficult analysis of human life. the psyche, especially the psyche of the offender, still remains mysterious and incomprehensible.
Job Assignment: In Cold Blood was an instant success and became the second most popular true crime book in history, after Helter Skelter (1974) about the murders of Charles Manson by Vincent Buglio . Some critics consider Capote’s work to be an original non-fiction novel, although other writers have already explored the genre, such as Rodolfo Walsh in Opera . Murder (1957). “Cold Blood” was praised for its eloquent prose, extensive detail, and the trio’s story, which depicts the lives of murderers, victims, and other members of rural society in succession.
Theoretical and methodological basis of the case: After a short interview, the doctors determined that the defendants were not insane and could be tried according to M’Nagten rules . Advocates asked for the opinion of an experienced psychiatrist at a local psychiatric hospital in the state, who diagnosed Smith with clear signs of mental illness and believed that Hikok 's previous head injuries may have influenced his behavior.
