Summary
The Australian version of English is very diverse and includes not only the characteristics of the Australian language, but also the characteristics of the American and British variants. In addition, the review problem is complicated by the fact that there are equal types of three different pronunciations. Often, this division is only a criterion for determining social status, although it does not complicate the communication process.
Looking at the characteristics of the Australian version of English, we can conclude that the original English language underwent significant changes as a result of the formation of new ethnic groups during the colonial expansion of Great Britain
The pronunciation of the first settlers in Australia was initially different from SE, because the main part of the population was convicts, representatives of the social class, political exiles.
They were carriers of urban vernaculars and dialects, cockney, northern accents and dialects. The simplification of the pronunciation of some sounds was due to the lack of education of many of the first white settlers. Landscape and climatic features have had some influence. The American version of English has had a very strong influence.
Based on the material we have reviewed, we can conclude that most of the Australian vocabulary corresponds to the vocabulary of the British version.
Australian words are found in the most important areas for Australians. These include flora and fauna, landscape, livestock and especially sheep farming, gold mining and other areas of human activity unique to Australia.
