How to use the Jigsaw activity GENERAL STEPS: 1.
Choose lesson content and divide material into 3-4 parts.
2.
Create HOME GROUPS and give each member material for different
part of the lesson. Give them time to review material and create
graphic organizer to demonstrate. Each student in HOME GROUP is
the “expert” for their part of the lesson.
3.
Create EXPERT GROUPS and move all experts into new group for
their part of lesson. Give “experts” time to review material and create
graphic organizer to demonstrate understanding and to use in
presenting their information.
4.
Move students back to their original HOME GROUP.
5.
Experts make presentation to HOMEGROUP.
6.
Students create new graphic organizer to demonstrate understanding of
whole lesson.
