What is the determining element in education, in your opinion? 
6.1 Education as a System of Elements
Education is a complex and structured phenomenon which is determined by 
many determinants and factors. Therefore, we can differentiate several basic 
elements in education: objective or goal, content, means and conditions of 
education, as well as two anthropogenic factors, i.e. the educator and the 
educated person (the ‘educatee’). We call it a system because the elements of 
this system (we mean education) are involved in mutual interrelations and 
interactions. At the same time, each of these elements constitutes an 
autonomous system (subsystem). These relations can be seen in Scheme 3.

Although all elements of the system of education are important, the objective 
(or goal) of education is considered to be determining. This is why we need to 
pay particularly special attention to the selection and articulation of objectives. 
The coming chapters will further characterise all elements of the system of 
education.
