For the first time the qualitative composition and quantitative content of bioactive nutrients
and flowers Polygonum alpestre have been investigated. It was found that the flowers contain 2.3% of
the total sugars, organic acids 0.87%, 1.2% pectin, 9.4% tannins, 2.34% flavonoid, anthocyanin
0.58%, 0.8% catechin, 2.3 mg% carotenoid, 358 mg% of vitamin C. The presence of glucose,
arabinose, galactose, organic acids, malic acid and oxalic acid, flavonoids - quercetin derivatives,
anthocyanins - izopiridina and delphinidin derivatives, catechins - epigallocatechin, gallocatechin,
epigallocatechin gallate is revealed as a part of composition of sugars. Based on the qualitative
composition and quantitative content of biologically active substances Highlander gorongo flowers
can be used as raw material for the manufacture of a medicament.
Key words: Polygonum alpestre, flavonoid, anthocyanin, carotenoid, catechin, sugar, organic
acid.
