constantly. After all, profits provide not only the most accurate test of business
efficiency, but also
a sure check against failure. Over a course of time, profits are
the measures of how well a
company has meet the needs of labour, consumers, shareholders and the general public. Profit
making is essential to business because of the following causes.

b. For the growth of business
c. to build up reserves for meeting risk inherent in business activity
d. profit making company is acceptable company to the society.
e. The profit is the legitimate reward for honest endeavours.
