konstruktiv to‘zilishi jihatdan rang-barang bo‘lgan fransuz me’morligi
Yevropa qurilishi san’atida muhim o‘rinni egallaydi.
Bu yerda yaratilgan me’morchilik tiplari Yevropaning ko‘pgina
sha-xarqlarida tahlid uchun namuna bo‘lib qoldi.
Puatyedagi Notr dam la Grant XI-XII asr ibodatxonasi roman
stiliga xos xususiyatlarini namoyon qiladi. Ko‘rinishi jihatdan
birmuncha past, tosh devorlari qalin va salobatli qilib ishlangan364. Shu
davrlarda qoldirilgan kichiq tor darchalar bu devorlar qalinligini yanada

10th century to the French R ev olution it w as served by a com m unity
o f canons, regular until the 13th century, and thereafter secular. A ccordin g to tradition, the church w as founded by
the bishop o f C lerm ont. Saint A v itu s. in the 6th century and w as rebuilt in the П th or 12th centuries after being burned
d ow n by the N orm ans. T h e establish m ent here o f a com m unity o f ca nons to o k p la ce no earlier than the m iddle o f the
10th century, under b ishop Etienne II o f Clermont.
