Describe a historical period
Well, at school I was not much into history I don’t know why maybe was because of the way history lessons were organized. What I mean is that our teacher used to make us read through huge textbooks and we used to learn the dates, and we didn’t even try to understand why things happened in the way they did, and how important these events were in the past, and how these things actually changed the way society is now.
But after some years since I started watching YouTube documentaries, I’ve become fascinated by how interesting history actually is. Of all the historical periods I’m interested in, I’d say ancient Egyptian history deserves a special mention. Ancient Egypt actually was one of the places where the earliest civilizations were first born.
What I like most about this period is how influential it was. Basically it set the tone for the next civilizations, they invented complex calendars based on how celestial bodies such as the sun and the moon and the constellations moved across the sky, and they were almost precise according to our calculations. Another thing which attracts me quite a lot when it comes to Egyptian history is how much mystery it holds to this day. The fact that we still haven’t figured out how pyramids were built is enough for me to convince me to do more research on this historical period. So far I have watched several documentaries which discuss several different hypothesis as to how these structures were built, but the thing is, there isn’t general consensus among archaeologists, that is in some ways increases my interest in history too.

Describe an advertisement you didn`t like
On a daily basis I am bombarded with tons of advertisements, because I watch TV or use my Mobile Phone and I use the Internet a lot and the Internet is the place where most people come across advertisements these days. Generally, I don’t really mind advertisements because I understand that all companies are trying to sell their products and advertisements are actually one of the best ways to target audiences. But as things become repetitive, and I see the same advertisement 3,4,5 times, then it starts to irritate me. And I’m quite sure others with agree.
Such an event happened with me just yesterday. As I was doing my homework on my computer, I had to look up information on the Internet and my browser all of a sudden started suggesting ads for online courses on programming. First off, I ignored those advertisements like I always do. But then the ad kept popping up on my screen and I decided to actually pay attention to it and read the offer attentively. To be honest, I was not annoyed by the ad itself, apparently the designers of the ad actually put some effort into creating it, unlike most advertisers on the Internet. It was colorful and It was informative. But what I quite didn’t like about the advertisement is how unrealistic promises they were making in terms of how fast learners can pick up programming. They said that you can be a professional programmer in just a month with the help of their course in which I didn’t really believe. So I ended up spamming the advertisement and labeled it as a scam because it’s not possible at least to me to learn programming in 30 days.
