(vii) Leadership is a continuous and dynamic process of influencing behaviour. It is also a psychological
process.
17.4 FUNCTIONS OF A LEADER
17.4.1. Creation of objectives:
He creates the objectives and policies to lead the attention and
efforts of his group in purposeful direction.
17.4.2. Establishment of organisation:
He brings into existence the organisation to serve as the
vehicle to accomplish the predetermined objectives and policies.
17.4.3. Playing dominant role in action:
He initiates the various activities to promote the interests
of the enterprise.
