At present the development of industry, the determination of all
production processes with their main technological parameters, such as
pressure, frequency of operation and concentration of reactants or reagents,
determine high requirements for equipment and construction installations. It
is known that the obligatoriness to take solutions and measures to protect
against corrosion of metals and all process units is necessary since, if we
consider that, the main damage from corrosion is not only the loss of a large
amount of metal but also the overall shutdown of the process operations, that
leads to huge economic losses [1].
Today, carbon steel is widely utilized for the manufacture of rotating
equipment in the energy sector due to its profitability and high mechanical
strength. In fact, during the equipment’s operation, the aggressive
environment causes corrosion and damage to the surface of carbon steel,
which leads to significantly higher costs for the repair and replacement of soft
