Pyrimidines are N-containing six-membered heterocyclic compounds with
a wide range of biological and medicinal activity including antitumor, analgesic,
antibacterial,
antifungal, etc. In addition, pyrimidines
with the extended
conjugation pi system are potential scaffolds for light-emitting devices and
molecular wires, also find their application in supramolecular chemistry [1-3].
Due to the applicability in the medicinal industry, supramolecular, and
coordination
chemistry, different synthesis methods of pyrimidines have
been studied in the literature. [2,3].
The reported work is devoted to the synthesis of pyrimidine derivatives
given below. The synthesis was carried out
based on relevant chalcone
derivatives in the presence of the oxygenating agent.
The structures of (
E
)-2-(2-amino-6-styrylpyrimidin-4-yl) phenol
(1), (
E
)-2-(2-amino-6-styrylpyrimidin-4-yl)-4-methylphenol
(2) and 2-(6-(2-(allyloxy)-5-bromophenyl)-2-aminopyrimidin-4-yl)-4-methylphenol
(3) were confirmed by NMR spectroscopy.
