The protective role of medicinal and relict plants extracts on state of chlorophylls (Chl) a and b
under stress induced by Cd
2+
ions was investigated. Under acid medium (pH 4,5) the Chl a and b were
protected by extracts of Folia Salvia officinalis and liquorice at the neutral medium (pH 6,8) the
strong protective action of relict plant Danae racemosa and Folia Salvia officinalis were found. At the
alkaline medium (pH 9,0) all used extracts revealed the protective role. To evaluate the nature of used
extracts the infrared spectroscopy (IR) was applied. The results obtained the presense in extracts of
great number of hidroxile groups in structure of phenol antioxidants.
