MODERN COMFORTABLE, COMPACT FURNITURE

Summary:
This article provides information about the selection of transforming sofas
suitable for a modern cozy home, the study of their main features and types of transformation. In
particular, sofas and armchairs of the “tango”, “telescope”, “accordion” type were studied as
examples.

If you look at history, furniture has been an integral part of human life. In the current period
of development, there are unique pieces of furniture in all directions. For example, in our lives, at
work, in medical institutions,
in exciting places, in passenger transport,
and many other examples
can be given.
Each piece of furniture has its own requirements depending on the place of use. This article
discusses sofas and armchairs, some of the most widely used pieces of furniture. As you know, one
of the advantages of furniture is the presence of compactness, functionality and transformation. The
main purpose of using transformable furniture is the expediency of furniture and the rational use of
space. Especially, in the modern period of development, the issue of rational use of living space in
multi-storey buildings is very relevant. A cozy interior in a modern house is hard to imagine
without an easy chair or sofa.
When
using transformable furniture, it is necessary to pay attention to the types of their
transformation, which are as follows:
1.
Folding
“book”, “tango” or “click-clack”, “couch”.
2.
Retractable (roll-out)
“eurobook”, “dolphin”, “konrad” or “telescope”, “pantograph”.
3.
Sliding
“french clamshell”, “american folding bed” or “sedaflex”, “accardion”.
The types of transformation mentioned above are mainly used in the transformation of sofas
and armchairs, and some of them have found wide application in our lives, which we will consider
in more details.
