FEATURES OF NATIONAL EDUCATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF THE 
UNIVERSITY

Summary:
The article deals with the issues of education of students based on the use of 
national values. Their content and orientation are revealed on the example of teaching the course 
"Pedagogy and Psychology". They can be recommended to higher school teachers to enhance the 
role of national education in the educational process of the university.

Today, the national education of young people is an important issue. In order to stabilize the 
economy of Uzbekistan and increase patriotic feelings, there is a need for national education. In 
order to implement this issue, we must correctly place accents in the spiritual formation of the new 
generation. The relevance of educating young people is obvious, while it is necessary to take into 
account previous experience, preserving national customs, such as humanity, respect for elders and 
juniors, hospitality, justice, intelligence and majesty of the nation, the art of speech, the contact of 
one's national values with others, a huge cultural, spiritual and moral heritage.
Creative development of foreign educational experience is carried out in Uzbekistan on the 
example of the creation of new generations of state educational standards, curricula, educational 
programs, textbooks. In particular, the state educational standard of higher education takes into 
account the current and future needs of the state, society and the individual, as well as new 
directions, first of all, the labor market situation in the field of high and innovative technologies, as 
well as the directions of higher education adopted in the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with 
global trends in the training of professional personnel and organizing specialties. 
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to improve the 
effectiveness of the state youth policy and support the activities of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan" 
No. 411-5106 dated July 5, 2017 states that ".....during the years of independence, certain work was 
carried out in our country to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism, respect for national 
traditions and values, the formation of spiritually developed and physically healthy generation, 
protect the rights and interests of youth ..." [1]. 
Studying at a university is an essential stage of personal education that affects the direction 
of professionalization, the formation of a worldview, life goals and attitudes, the style of personal 
and public communication, the socialization of a future specialist. At the same time, the formation 
of the main "core" of the spiritual and moral sphere of the individual takes place. Priority tasks 
today are the formation of spiritual and intellectual qualities of students, manifested in their mental 
abilities, physical energy and capabilities, concern for the prosperity of the Motherland [2]. 
In the process of gaining independence of the country, its socio-economic development, the 
growth of national consciousness, the importance of using the practice of universal values in the 
education of young people, which has absorbed a centuries-old history, arises. Undoubtedly, today 
there are features of the introduction of national education into education. Only by passing national 
values, culture, history, customs through the prism of today, a more complete understanding of 
other peoples comes, which increases the scientific significance of the subject being studied at the 
university. 
It is necessary to approach the process of national education of young people more flexibly, 
awakening in her a sense of love for her homeland, to interest the younger generation in studying
