Thanks to independence, a new page was opened in the centuries-old annals of traditional
art. The priceless artistic culture of our people began to be objectively assessed, and attention was
paid to epics and legendary heroes,
popular among the people, in order to reveal the national
identity. The theme of legends, epics and narratives in the painting of the years of independence
opened new doors for artists. As a result, the number of people interested
in the subject began to
increase year by year. Along with skilled artists, new names can be seen among young people. The
most important thing is that the works created on these topics were included as a separate direction
in the development of our national painting art. In the years of independence, truly national works,
reflecting the original values of our ancestors, artistically perfect, deep in content, began to be
created.
Heroes of Uzbek folk epics try to solve every case without
war or bloodshed as much as
possible. However, when they know that a tense situation cannot be resolved without a fight, they
throw themselves at the enemy like a lion. Before the battle, they turn to their young men and
encourage them to mount a horse on the enemy. In the Uzbek folk epics, the image of the battle is
described using special exaggerations. when the heroes bring beautiful princesses or fairies from
other countries, they have to fight with foreign armies. Sometimes
the heroes take away the
beautiful princesses by trickery, sometimes their battles and bravery are described in the form of
short poems with the help of special epic formulas. Their call consists of such things as "putting a
horse on my grain, taking the enemy's head, and shedding his blood." Such a general character of
the epic content leads to the emergence of certain epic formulas. [1]
Studying the role and functions of artistic excerpts, especially metaphors, in the creation of
images and figurative speech in folk epics requires a separate scientific study. metaphor serves as
one of the leading criteria for distinguishing artistic from non-artistic, figurative from non-figurative
things. Because any metaphor fulfills the tasks of emotional description
and assessment with a
nominative image in the work. The function of figurative-emotional, i.e., emotive metaphors allows
the viewer to make an emotional assessment of the depicted image or event. The role and
importance of such movements in ensuring the artistic and figurative language of epics is
incomparable. Because seeing the world on a wide epic scale, evaluating the level of harmony
between the public and the bakhshi (creative) gaze can only be realized
through the analysis of
artistic movements, especially metaphors. Metaphor consists of the associative naming of a new
thing or situation flashed in the human mind based on something or a situation, its figurative
description or expression. Based on this, it can be said that metaphor is born in the deep layers of
human thinking under the influence of things and events in real reality.
In this sense, the birth of
each metaphor is a necessary linguistic and artistic event. Because without a metaphor, it is
impossible to clearly and effectively describe or express the imagination that flashes in the human
mind, the feeling born in the heart of the image. This metaphor is considered a necessary and
inevitable phenomenon for the human mind and language. More seriously, metaphor gives a clear
