THE ROLE OF ICT IN TEACHING FOREING LANGUAGES

Summary:
Today, information and communication technologies are entering every sphere
of our society. Of course, his place is now incomparable in the field of education. Teaching the
students with new methods much more effective than traditional methods, especially in the practice
of foreign languages. This article details the role of information communication technologies in
teaching foreign languages.

Introduction
ICT means Information Communication Technologies. It includes any communication
technologies such as computer,
mobile phone, internet, web-sites and so on. Today its role is
increasing
in the lesson process, especially in teaching foreign languages. We know that the 21st
century is considered a century of technologies, and our young teenagers have different gadgets in
their hands. And these technologies help to the teachers to motivate their students and make the
lessons more efficient. Because traditional methods become less motivating. Students will prefer to
search information from the e-books or internet rather than paper books. If EFL classes provides
with good internet or access
to the teaching materials, the students will feel free to practice
language. The use of ICT in the process of teaching foreign languages contributes to the intellectual
and creative development of students. In this article we will discuss the advantage of ICT and the
modern information communication technologies which help the student in acquiring the foreign
languages.
