Electrical Properties of Antimony Tellur (Sb2Te3) Compound
The Aluminum-Sb2Te3-Aluminum capacitor samples were studied to get information about their conductivity under alternative electric field. The alternative conductivity and dielectric constant of the samples were investigated depending on frequency, temperature and thickness. Based on the obtained results, it was concluded that the polarization mechanism which is the essence of alternative conductivity occurring in samples was space-charge polarization mechanism, especially at low frequencies. Also it was concluded that with increasing frequency other type polarization mechanisms such as electronic polarization and dipolar polarization became effective in the alternative conduction process. Furthermore, it was observed that the alternative conductivity process in samples obeyed the CBH (Correlated Barrier Hopping) electrical conduction model.
