The Application Of Acrylic/Polyurethane Resins On Surface Protective Coatings
In this thesis; the application of acrylic polyurethane polymer systems on metal surface coating formulations in terms of economy and application properties are examined.
For this purpose,different acrylic polyurethane hybrid polymers are applied on stainless steel surfaces,which have no surface treatment except oil-removing by drawdown method.
For existing film characterization; hardness test ( DIN 53 157 ), adhesion test ( ASTM D3359-76 ), first dying test ( ASTM D1640-69 ), impact test ( FTMS 6226 ), chemical stability test and minimum film existing temperature tests were done.
With the consideration of legal treatments and industrial offers; different acrylic polyurethane hybrıd systems include non-solvent formulations are compared with the solvent based formulations.
As a result of the experimental studies, the most suitable result is taken from the formula of coating film which is given at Table 3.1.
