ISO 9001 Quality Management System in Construction Sector and an Automation Model
Quality Management System is a control mechanism that provides all necessary activities to be done. In order to get ISO 9001, companies must define Quality Management Systems and execute them as it defined. Quality Management System is foundation of company structure. It defines who does what and when. QMS is an application tool of quality policy. It defines companies’ tactic and strategy and provides employees work as a coordinated teams.
Construction companies in our country apply ISO 9001 and other QMS applications for customer/contract specifications obligations instead of having institutional structure. Construction companies have complicated organizational structure in addition to this situation ISO 9001 QMS application has a heavy red tape and mistrust of management to benefits of system cause application problems for construction companies.
In this study it is aimed that integration of customer and employee to the system, removing of documentation, acceleration of communication and monitoring project progress with an automation system in the scope of ISO at construction Industry. Thus either an effective project management system or effective quality management system applicability will be provided.
