Benefits of automatic irrigation: 
-
An automated system does not need any manual effort. When your 
garden is watered, you don't even have to be home. 
- Automatic irrigation systems deliver water to plants precisely when and 
where it is required, lowering utility expenditures and offsetting the initial 
setup costs. 
- The ability to save water is perhaps the most appealing feature of an 
automatic irrigation system. Automatic systems give perfect coverage, so 
you do not have to worry about overwatering or overwatering your grass. 
Watering can be scheduled on a daily or weekly basis, as well as during 
periods of low evaporation. 
Required Equipment: 
Dealing with the under- and over- irrigation problems and leaching or 
drying of soil, requirement-based irrigation can be performed using Wireless 
Sensor and Actuator Networks (WSANs). Soil moisture solenoid valuesç 
temperature and pressure sensors are significant in monitoring the irrigation 
operations.
