Limitations
The national curriculum might be problematic. The educational objectives of Sweden and the Basque Country are distinct from one another, and pursuing different objectives may result in various performances. As a result, the Swedish essay test may have been a challenge because it was designed to evaluate Swedish national aspirations rather than Basque ones. Were the Basque students' patriotic ambitions making the work too difficult for them? On the other hand, a yes response would confirm the main finding that the Swedish class's writing ability is unquestionably superior. In actuality, the Swedish and Basque curricula are as different as day and night. The Swedish curriculum (see appendix C) emphasizes knowledge and abilities including comprehension, participation in conversations, reading texts, speaking clearly, self-reflection on one's own learning, and completing straightforward oral and written assignments. Grammar and vocabulary are not even considered educational objectives in Sweden, and teachers are free to decide how to achieve the objectives. The Basque syllabus, on the other hand, is what Harmer (2006:299–300) refers to as a multi-syllabus syllabus, a syllabus exhibiting "any combination of items from grammar, lexis, language functions, situations, topics, tasks... " There are additional objectives for each skill that students should have met, such as responding to questions regarding a book with a lengthy response (reading), recognizing true and false statements (listening), or creating a chart of verb forms (grammar). It is so thorough, in fact, that each aim within each language skill has been given a particular period during the academic year. As a result, term 2 (out of 3) must be dedicated to studying asking and providing directions, whereas term 1 is devoted to studying the present simple and present continuous.
In addition, We must constantly rely on our communication abilities in order to share our ideas and opinions with others. Because oral communication skills are critical for a child's academic and future job success, it is imperative that they develop and improve them from a young age. While many kids frequently have no trouble speaking with their friends, doing so in front of an audience or with teachers is a different challenge. When prompted to communicate with a stranger, it's not uncommon for many children to experience anxiety. Thankfully, oral communication abilities may be improved. Therefore, do not be alarmed if you see that your child is naturally shy and struggles to communicate their views. You may assist your kid in developing the core skills they will need for the rest of their lives by enrolling them in oral communication programs. Let us explain the advantages of having your child take these lessons.
