Treaty of Turkmenchay

Here, the border between the two states is defined by mountain peaks; it was decided that their landing towards the Caspian Sea should belong to Russia, and the landing on the other side belongs to Iran. From the top of the Border Cikoir Heights. It passes along the mountains separating Talish from Arsh circle to the top of Gamarkuh. The border line between the two states will continue, always in accordance with the above-mentioned rules of water flow, from the border of the Velgich district to the northern source of the Astara river along the summit of Kloputa and the main range of mountains in the Velgich district, and thence along the bed of that river to the point where it flows into the Caspian Sea, where Russia the border line that should separate their lands from Iran is saved.

Article V — His Majesty the Shah of Iran, as proof of his sincere friendship to His Majesty the Emperor of Russia, hereby declares, on behalf of himself and his heirs and heirs to the throne of Iran, all the territories located between the above-mentioned border line, between the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sea. solemnly recognizes that the lands and all the islands, as well as all the nomads and other peoples living in those countries, belong to the Russian Empire forever.

Both high parties who joined the agreement decided the amount of that reward to be ten kuri tuman rai, or twenty million silver manats, its time, payment method and security were decided in a special agreement which has the force to be included in the present Treaty word for word.
