The service sector has a special role to play in creating new jobs, providing employment and
increasing incomes. It is possible to create new jobs in this area at low cost and in the short term.
Because in our country there is a great opportunity
to develop this sector, which does not require
additional funding.
Today, the services sector is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, which is emerging as
a new direction in the development of the Uzbek economy.
New jobs are being created due to the expansion of various new types of services and the
development
of banking and finance, tourism, insurance, information and communication services,
etc., which occupy a significant place in the services market.
It is no coincidence that the video conference chaired by the President discussed the development of
the service sector in the regions, monitored the implementation of each project in the field, identified
specific
tasks to assist entrepreneurs, the formation of new projects.
Admittedly, there is no clear methodology in place today. Due to the negligence of sector leaders, it
is not possible to accurately assess the volume of services provided, the number of facilities and the
potential of the regions.
Therefore, the meeting noted that the responsible ministries will work together with the heads of
regions to develop services in their areas and be responsible for efficiency.
In the last week of each month, when we visit the regions to study the implementation of the tasks set
for the development of the regions,
to communicate with the people, there are many requests from
entrepreneurs to launch new services. Along with the achievements in this direction, it is obvious that
there are still issues to be resolved.
For example, the population's access to services such as footwear and leather goods, home appliance
repair, computer services, as well as hairdressing
salons and beauty salons, is not the same
everywhere.
