Procedure: Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Greet students and ask them if they like food and drinks.
2. Show a picture of different types of food and drinks on the board.
3. Ask students to name some of the foods/drinks they see in the picture.
Presentation (20 minutes): 1. Introduce new vocabulary words related to food and drinks with pictures or flashcards.
2. Go through each word slowly, repeating it a few times, asking students to repeat it after you.
3. Display the words on the board along with its meaning in simple English for better understanding.
4. Have students practice saying each word out loud.
Practice (15 minutes): 1. Divide students into pairs or small groups.
2. Assign each group a set of vocabulary words related to food and drinks.
3. Students will use online resources like Quizlet or Memrise to practice the words together as a group.
4. Students will take turns practicing each word aloud with their partner/group.
Application (10 minutes): 1. Provide each student with a worksheet containing pictures of different types of food/drinks that were introduced earlier in class.
2. Ask them to label each picture with its corresponding vocabulary word from the list provided on the worksheet.
3. Have some students share their answers aloud for class review.
Conclusion (5 minutes): 1. Review all new vocabulary words learned in class today by displaying them on the board again.
2. Ask students if they remember all of the new words they learned today about food/drinks.
3. End class by asking if there are any questions before dismissing your students.
Assessment: Students will be assessed on their ability to label each picture with its corresponding vocabulary word on the worksheet provided.
