I have had some great experiences at numerous eating establishments, but if I had to choose one
as my favorite, I would have to choose Pan Asia. Pan Asia is nestled in the downtown area of Daegu
on what has become known as “Way-Gook Way.” This restaurant’s most notable dishes are the pad
thai and the crab curry. Pan Asia gives Koreans and other foreigners the
ability to taste authentic
Thai, Singapore, and Indian food cuisines all by a very young and talented chef. He studied cooking
techniques and traveled to each of the countries of the food he prepares. The food is top notch, the
atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is extremely professional. The thing I enjoy the most is
that every time I go there, even if it’s been a month or two since my last visit, the staff remembers
me! Then, they offer me a complimentary beverage or appetizer because I am a frequent customer!
On
another note, the head chef and owner is also one of my
closest friends here in Daegu, South
Korea. So I get the best of both worlds when I visit my favorite restaurant, Pan Asia. I get to see my
friend and I also get to enjoy the excellently prepared food with great service.
