Q196. Describe what you would miss from your home if you went
abroad to study.
A. Sample Answer
There are two things that I would greatly miss from my home if I went abroad to study. I would
miss my friends first and foremost. My friends mean the world to me and it just wouldn’t be the same
without them. Although this may be true, I know I would make many new friends at my school in a
foreign country. Then, maybe, one day, my friends that I’ve had since I was a child and the ones that I
would make in my new temporary home could meet. Then, all of my friends could make even more
friends. Besides my friends, I would miss my pet lizard, Louie. I know that I wouldn’t be able to take
him with me, so he would have to stay behind in my home country. Often times, Louie and I curl up
together and take a nap. Yes, he is a lizard but he acts just like a cat! Being in a new country to study
would be an amazing experience, but I’d still miss my friends and Louie, my pet lizard.
