Usul al-fiqh has a special and important place in Islamic theology. Thanks to this
science, the methodological foundations, evidence, their meaning, types and other
features of Sharia (Islamic law) are studied. According to scholars in the field of usul al-
fiqh, evidence is a means by which a correct or reasonable judgment can be made. Thus,
when speaking of evidence in Islamic law (fiqh), the religious legal justification of the
fiqh command is usually generally understood. From this it becomes clear that the
foundations of the science of fiqh (usul al-fiqh) are being studied by means of obtaining
evidence from decrees.Such methods in this religion as Akhbarites and Usulites should
not be ignored. According to Akhbarits, the evidence of Sharia decrees is serious from
the Koran and Hadiths. The hadiths were affirmed as words, verbs and speech of the
Prophet (phub) and the twelve Imams. In this regard, the thought of the famous scholar
Akhbarit Mohammed Amin al-Astrabadi (d. 1626) can be noted. Therefore, everything
should be known and explained only by Ahl al-Bayt (as), which includes the Imams.
This information can only be known thanks to the imam. All that is required of Muslims
is all that is needed, and there is no need for discussion, publicity or comparative
evidence.
