Barbar, Frank

877th year Kiersey the capitulary officially recognizes the hereditary position of count. Under the rule of the Carolingians, the temporary unification of various tribes and peoples had no economic, social-legal, ethnic and cultural value, and was kept until the Thracian feudal lords were interested in the royal power. Towards the middle of the 9th century, the foundations of the feudal system were formed in the empire, and the attitude of the new large landowners to the central government also changed. Large feudal lords are almost completely free; and the small and middle feudal lords were closely bound to the magnate as their vassals, and not to the king. Suppression of peasant movements is already taking on a local character. Charlemagne's son and successor Ludovic the Faithful (814-840) divided the empire among his sons in 817 and retained supreme power. After that, the feudal feuds intensified. Finally, in 843, Louis' sons gathered at Verdun to agree on the redistribution of the empire. From Verdun according to the treaty , Daz Carl, the youngest son of Louis the Faithful, acquired the lands west of the rivers Scheldt, Meuse and Rhone and laid the foundations of this future French kingdom. In these lands, the Romance languages were dominant and later laid the foundation for the French language. The middle brother, Louis the German, received the provinces east of the Rhine and north of the Alps, and this kingdom began to be called the East Frankish kingdom, and later the German kingdom. Louis's eldest son, Lothar, retained the title of emperor; his possessions consisted of Italy and the Rhinelands, which formed the geographical outlines of the future Italy. Thus, the Treaty of Verdun laid the foundation for the three future European countries – France, Germany and Italy – and the French, German and Italian nations respectively.
