7 Administrative arrangements
Introduction
This section focuses on the administrative requirements for delivering a BTEC
qualification. It is of particular value to Quality Nominees,
Lead IVs, Programme Leaders
and Examinations Officers.
Learner registration and entry
Shortly after learners start the programme of learning, you
need to make sure that they
are registered for the qualification and that appropriate arrangements are made for
internal assessment. You need to refer to the
International
Information Manual
for
information on making registrations for the qualification.
Learners can be formally assessed only for a qualification on which they are registered.
If learners’ intended qualifications change, for example if a
learner decides to choose a
different pathway specialism, then the centre must transfer the learner appropriately.
