By the nature of the information provided , the following established types of educational publications can be distinguished:

  • academic plan;

  • training program;

  • methodical instructions;

  • methodical manuals;

  • practice programs;

  • assignments for practical exercises, textbook;

  • tutorial;

  • lecture notes;

  • reader;

  • reading book etc.

According to the form of presentation of the material, educational publications can be divided into the following groups:

  • convection educational publications that implement the information function of education;

  • programmed educational publications, which, in essence, represent electronic publications in this classification;

  • problem educational publications, which are based on the theory of problem learning and are aimed at the development of logical thinking;

  • combined, or universal educational publications that contain individual elements of the listed models. [twenty]

According to the intended purpose, electronic means of educational purposes can be divided into the following groups:

  • for schoolchildren;

  • for adults, etc.

By The presence of a printed equivalent is divided into two groups of electronic means for educational purposes:

  • electronic analogue of a printed educational publication - an electronic educational tool that mainly reproduces the corresponding printed publication (text arrangement on pages, illustrations, links, notes, etc.);

  • text (character) electronic edition - an electronic edition containing mainly textual information presented in a form that allows character-by-character processing;

  • graphic electronic edition - an electronic edition containing predominantly electronic samples of objects, considered as integral graphic entities, presented in a form that allows viewing and print reproduction, but does not allow character-by-character processing;

  • audio electronic publication - an electronic publication containing a digital representation of audio information in a form that allows listening to it, but not intended for print reproduction;

  • software product - an independent, alienable work, which is a publication of the text of a program or programs in a programming language or in the form of an executable code;

  • multimedia electronic publication - an electronic publication in which information of various nature is present equally and interconnected to solve problems defined by the developer, and this interconnection is provided by appropriate software. [twenty]
