Abstract:
The goal of the current article is to comprehend, analyze, and offer
a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental elements of English for Specific
Purposes, including its definition, scope, historical context, traits, varieties, and
goals. Additionally, it covers the goals of ESP instruction, the job of an ESP teacher
and how to become one, the function of an ESP course, and an ESP program. We
perceive a clear justification for finally agreeing that ESP is the teaching of English
to students who have specified aims and purposes, such as professional, academic,
or scientific, among the variety of opposing perspectives on ESP policy. The essay
examines the primary responsibilities and tasks of foreign language instructors in
