Distribute handout 2 and ask students to read the text with gaps and get prepared for listening
Play the recording with the text (or read the text loud enough if there is not electricity). When it finishes ask students whether they want to listen to the text again and play it again.\
Ask one student read, others listen and check. Direct students to golden rules while checking the answers. If there is difficulty with the answer, help students with the right answer.
Assign students to answer comprehension questions within the groups.

Listening — Listen and fill in the gaps
A new report says that playing simple card games (1) __________________ patients with their recovery just as much as virtual reality gaming. The researchers reported that if the type of task used for the rehabilitation of motor skills is intensive, repetitive and gets the hands and arms moving, (6) ___________________ recovering from a stroke.
A stroke happens when the blood (7) ___________________ the brain is cut off. It can lead to death if not treated quickly.
