Another application of polymers, BrightWater, which is technology that improve the sweep efficiency of water flood by 

using a Novel robust particulate system for in–depth water flood conformance control. This cross linking polymer with ~0.5 

microns particle size injected with very close viscosity to water, then can become larger with time in the presence of 

a  “trigger” - temperature andabsorb water and swell tenfold, blocking pore throats. 

By analyzing of both chemical structures and properties of water-soluble polymers in Nano metric size and comparing 

with current data from literature will give an opportunity to provide basis for the design new “Smart polymeric structures” 

for EOR application which will be applicable in particular field even at great depth with tolerance to high salinity and 

temperature.  

There is a big hope that polymer flooding can play an essential role in increasing production of oil well to  bring out all 

of us from the current energy crisis.
