5. If you are the manager of a car dealership that currently has three
employees and sells an average of 9 trucks per month. If you wanted 
to increase sales to an average of 12 per month, what would you do 
with your employees?
In this situation, I would use some Motivation types
1.Affiliation Motivation: It is a drive to relate to people on a social basis.
Persons with affiliation motivation perform work better when they are
complimented for their favorable attitudes and co-operation.
2.Competence Motivation: It is the drive to be good at something, allowing the 
individual to perform high quality work. Competence motivated people seek job 
mastery, take pride in developing and using their problem-solving skills and strive to 
be creative when confronted with obstacles. They learn from their experience.
3.Attitude Motivation: Attitude motivation is how people think and feel. It


is their self confidence, their belief in themselves, their attitude to life. It
is how they feel about the future and how they react to the past.
4. This type of Motivation is the key one, Incentive Motivation: It is where a person 
or a team reaps a reward from an activity. It is “You do this and you get that”, 
attitude. It is the types of awards and prizes that drive people to work a little harder.
Last but not least, Salary is also major factor that influence the quality of work
6. Why is providing a well-written mission statement so important for 
a business operation?
Well-written mission statements effectively capture an organization’s identity and 
provide answers to the fundamental question “Who are we?” While a vision looks to 
the future, a mission captures the key elements of the organization’s past and present.
Organizations need support from their key stakeholders, such as employees, owners, 
suppliers, and customers, if they are to prosper. A mission statement which engages 
stakeholders will help develop an understanding of why they should support the 
organization and make clear what important role or purpose the organization plays in 
society – also called a “social license to operate.” Google’s mission, for example, is 
“to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.” 
Google pursued this mission in its early days by developing a very popular Internet 
search engine. The firm continues to serve its mission through various strategic 
actions, including offering its Internet browser Google Chrome to the online 
community, providing free email via its Gmail service, and making books available 
online for browsing.
