Describe a time that you and your friend had a disagreement.
I think having discussions or conflicting ideas on things is one of the best ways to discover the truth. This is because when people have opposing opinions, there will be a chance to hear each other’s arguments and in this way people can actually learn a lot of things.
When I studied at university, we used to organize many debates on different issues such as what’s the best solution to environmental problems and how people can become happy and these are the things that I remember most about my university because the debates were interesting and sometimes quite intense. And one of the discussion topics I remember we had was about language learning. We were divided into two groups and the objective was to provide some arguments supporting which way is the best when it comes to learning a foreign language.
The other group which we were competing against presented views saying the most effective way to pick up a language is to live in a country where this language is spoken and they also supported their arguments with some logical points, which we heard respectfully. After that my group also started counter arguing some of their points. I mean we said that it’s not the most optimal way to learn a language. Because without having basic understanding of the grammar and pronunciation, it would be very challenging for a person to learn any language even if they lived in a country where almost every one speaks the same language actively. After that they also tried to convince us of their ideas and we kept presenting new arguments and it was quite a heated discussion and I think everyone involved enjoyed it

Describe a person from a different culture
Culture is one of many things that sets us apart from others. But in recent years, because of globalization and stuff, many aspects of cultures started to merge or disappear altogether. But still, there are probably thousands of things that don’t exist in other cultures.
I was reminded of this one more time when I invited a friend of mine to my birthday party. My friend, Akesh, is from India and India is one of the most culturally diverse countries, which makes it even more interesting. Actually, I’ve been interested in indian culture since my childhood, when I used to watch Bollywood movies and I was amazed by how rich the culture is because on top of their unique style of dancing, they celebrate many holidays and that’s the number one thing that attracted me to learning about the country in depth.
So anyway, I invited Akesh but I actually didn’t expect him to show up because he’s from New Dehli, which is the capital of India and it’s like 6-7 hours travel on a plane but when he texted me that he bought a ticket, I was very excited. I’d been exchanging messages back and forth with Akesh for like 2 years before I invited him to my birthday and he’s a cool guy and he talks a lot about India and indian people. Of course, because of my curiosity I ask tons of questions about Indian culture, especially about the things I saw on their movies to check whether they are actually true. When he finally came, I went on a trip around our country and I also talked about my culture proudly and excitedly and in the end we had a very great time.
