In order to accomplish sustainable development, the construction of a
campus that incorporates renewable energy technologies will be discussed
in this thesis. With an aim to achieve maximum accurate results, the current
energy consumption of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) was simulated
and derived by using eQUEST software. After that, the estimated amount of
the renewable energy sources, as well as their environmental and financial
impact, were calculated in the research phase.[1]
Taking into consideration both climate and
location of the Bibiheybat
campus of the BHOS, the primary focus in terms of renewable energy
sources was made on solar and wind energy. During that stage, preference
was put on the micro wind turbines which working
principle is ideal for the
residential and relatively small buildings. Additionally, severe wind conditions,
more precisely, their velocity may have the potential to corrupt stabilized work
of the wind turbines. Thus, it is more recommended to use alleged wind
turbines in the spring-summer season. [2]
With regards to solar energy, solar panels, in particular, can be established
on the rooftops and parking lots. Apart from this, to make construction as cost-
effective as possible, solar PV panels can be purchased from local supplies,
