DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES OF SPELE TOURISM IN UZBEKISTAN DURING 
THE YEARS OF THE SOVIET UNION

Summary:
The purpose of the research is to reveal the role and importance of cultural 
tourism in the tourism industry in Uzbekistan during the years of the Soviet Union. The time limit 
includes the years 1924-1991. The research work was analyzed on the basis of comparative-
gradual, periodical methods based on foreign sources and newspapers and magazines published 
during the years of the Soviet Union. V.A. Kvartalnogo, G.A. Papiriana, B.C. Malysheva, R. Yu. 
Popovoy, O.P. Berezkinoy, N.V. Mikhailovoy, I.I. Ilinoy. the analysis methods of scientists like The 
main goal of the development of speleotourism, recognized as one of the types of extreme tourism in 
Uzbekistan, was to study nature and carry out hydrological research. Also, the main goal was to 
quickly complete the work of mapping the caves of Uzbekistan. Later, it led to full use of available 
opportunities for the purpose of tourism. However, in the years of the Soviet Union, this type of 
mechanism and legal basis were not created, which did not fully ensure the development of the 
sector.
