Research on The Oriental Beech (Fagus Orientalis Lipsky) on Natural Generatıon’s Vitality and Growth Form Class in District Kocadüz (Hendek)

In this study, vitality and growth form class of Oriental Beech on natural generation period was investigated in district of Kocadüz (Hendek). Dispersal to different vitality and growth form classes are examined, correlation between “Honowski Ligth Factor” and length of individuals in which every different class on the top, middle and bottom hillside seperately.

As a result of this study following results were obtained for 5 years old beech on natural generation:

It was obtained from preliminary work performed on investigation area, that 4 different vitality and growth form classes are constituted because of there are only healthy indivuals in vitality classes.

It was determined that all vitality classes are found in all sample areas.

It was identified that there are individuals from second and third vitality and growth form classes at most and individuals from first and fourth ones at least in all sample areas.

It was verified that Honowski Light Factor of first vitality and growth form class is the maximum.

The maximum increasing value of length was determined on first vitality and growth form class.

It was determined that there was no difference on the top, middle and bottom hillside for the features of five parameters mentioned above.

In this study, it was determined that the maintaining of forest according to vitality and growth form class could be an important parameter on continuity,vitality and stability of canopy. Therewithal individuals in the best vitality class have a high potential of health and growth.
