The object of the research work: modern trends and process of teaching speaking in different national contexts.
The subject of the research workis approaches, their principles and methods of development of speaking skills at senior grades of the secondary school.
The aim of the research is revealing the efficacy of modern approaches to development of speaking skills through comparative analysis.
Objectives for achievement the goal: -to study theoretical background of comparative analysis and it’s importance to the development of speaking skill
-to identify modern requirements and approaches to speaking competence and their role in teaching process
-to analyze syllabus and EL textbook in the aspect of development speaking skills
-to define the importance of reflective approach to realizing the quality of teaching a foreign language.
-to reveal comparative empirical research of approaches used in practice of teaching speaking
-to work out the results of empirical research and implementation of approaches principles.
Methods of the research: Socio pedagogical methods: critical analysis of the scientific literature, theoretical generalization, description of speaking skills
Comparative analysis: comparing structural features, similarities and differences of approaches , requirements to speaking competence
Experiment method: questionnaire, testing, experimental teaching.
Statistic method: qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Novelty of the research: 1)Comparative analysis has been conducted in speaking skills
2) the main requirements and approaches to the speaking competence have been identified and their value for FLT methodology has been revealed
3) the main principles and methods in syllabus and EL textbook in the aspect of development speaking skills have been specified
4) the ways of application approaches principles in practice of teaching speaking at senior grades of the secondary school have been designed .
