particular
and the word time but
how can we find these collocations
there is an online dictionary called
osdik which is the best dictionary
to find collocations i have pasted
the link
in the description below
before we get to the fourth step i
want you to give this video a
thumbs up and if you're new to our
channel don't forget to subscribe
and turn on the notifications step 4
write a paragraph with the word
that
you have learned and its
collocations this step is very
important in order to activate this
word in your head here is a short
paragraph i have written using the
word time and its adjective and
verb collocations let's take a look
ms sarah
is our english teacher she
is a hard-working instructor who
never wastes her time she is
available to help her students at a
particular time after the class
during her free time she likes to
raid books
she admires spending
time with her students so you see
by writing a very simple paragraph
i can use all the collocations that i
have written for this word in my
dictionary so this page in your
dictionary would look like this the
word time three examples
a list of
collocations and a short paragraph
whenever you have some free time
take your dictionary flick through
it and then read the paragraphs that
you have written in these
paragraphs
you have the word in
context plus its collocations and in
this way you can review the word
perfectly well you might say that
this will take forever that's true it
might take longer
than just writing
the word and its meaning but the
reason why you can't use the words
that you learned while speaking is
that they are not active there is no
shortcut to learning you have to
spend time if
you want to learn
something right i hope you've
enjoyed this video let me know
what you think about this method
in the comments down below see
you in the next lessons.
